Mode Monday: School Essentials

by - January 29, 2018

Hey, lovelies! For this "Mode Monday" I thought it'd be very appropriate to talk to you guys about school essentials! With the new spring semester in full swing I thought I would share how I keep myself organized throughout the year. I will include everything from organizers to a comfy-cozy outfits that's perfect for being in class all day. Be sure to leave me your thoughts on the post down in comments!

The first time I saw this Fossil backpack I knew it was a must have! Its sleek design helps it not get too bulky like ordinary backpacks, but it still has plenty of room for books and my computer! Things that don't take up much space are a necessity I know for y'all who live in dorms, and even though I commute, it is still nice to have a sleek, light-weight backpack that's durable (because, let's be honest, us college kids are hard on our stuff! lol). My exact backpack is no longer available, but I did find a similar leather one here for you guys!

Everyone knows the key to a successful semester is organization, and one of my favorite organizing tools is a good planner! Some people have a really hard time keeping up with a planner, and it may be hard at first, but I promise in the long run it will help so much!! Especially around finals time when all of your teacher think that their class is the only one your taking, and they load you up with plenty of important dates, and work to do... yeah, you know what I'm talking about! It does always help when your planner is super adorable! I got this cute planner form Target, and they had so many other cute ones to choose from!

I also got this adorable pencil pouch from Target, and I just love the quote thats on the front of it, "Start Something New"! This is a phrase I have tried to take to heart everyday by seeing each new day as a chance to start and accomplish new tasks! Finding school accessories with fun little saying always helps pep up my semester, and adds some pizzazz to the mundane! I couldn't find this one online, but really any of the ones from target are super cute!

The amount of paper I use during a single semester is probably equivalent to a whole forest (don't worry I recycle)! So good notebooks, and a good way to organize my papers is a must! I'm constantly taking notes, so having a classic durable notebook is key! I love this one I got from Target, because it's so cute (and it matches my planner, so thats always a plus!). This notebook is so functional!  I highly recommend these for note taking!

I love the file organizer I have for my papers! It is so much easier than having a bunch of separate folders. Now all my papers are in one place! I can find things with much more ease, and once I started using one I never knew how I could of possible lived without it! I also got this one from Target!

Everyone also needs a good pen during the semester, and the only pen I ever use for school are the Acroball ballpoint pens. I'm a lefty, so I'm constantly smearing my ink or pencils across the page, but not with these bad boys! They dry instantly and don't leave my notes or course work with smudges *insert happy cheering*!!

Staying hydrated is definitely key to staying focused throughout your day, but if your anything like me drinking water always feels like a chore (although I am acquiring more of a taste for it in my old age...lol). One thing that always helps me enjoy the water drinking process a little more is by having a cute water bottle! I really couldn't tell you why, but it makes the process 10x more enjoyable! Trust me! I got this pretty little thing from Target as well, and it keeps your water chilly for a decent amount of time! I couldn't find this exact one, but I did find another cute one I think you'll would like.

I don't know if y'all saw my Instagram story on Friday, but I just got this MacBook and I can already tell that I am going to loveeeeee it! After talking to numerous people to see if MacBook's were really all they were cracked up to be, and som serious consideration, I finally got one! Every single person I talked to recommended Mac computers, and told me they were the best computer they've ever had! ! I also got this USB adapter which is super handy if you are wanting to get the MacBook similar to mine.  If your looking for a new computer, or just on the fence about getting a Mac, let me tell you, I highly recommend and think they are so worth the money!

Time for me to talk to you guys about a go-to cozy outfit I have for class! When I'm sitting in class all day (because my classes are from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays) I want to be wearing something I feel comfortable in without having to give up being stylish. This Columbia pullover is so soft and cozy, and perfect to throw on in the morning! it fit TTS to, so size up if want a more oversized feel (size reference wearing a Small). To add a pop to my outfit I sometimes like to put on a cute little bandanna! They add a feminine flare to any casual look!

Legging really are a girl's BFF when sitting in a classroom, and are honestly the ultimate goal in comfy just short of your pj's ;) These Victoria Secret leggings fit TTS (wearing a size Small), and really do need to be in your closet ASAP!

Lastly I wanna talk to y'all about these Adidas sneakers! I'm seriously obsessed with the color and love the fit of this style of shoe. Super easy to just slip on and go once you have you shoe strings adjusted to how you like! I will tell you guys that they do run a tad on the big size. I usually wear an 8 in sneakers, but in these I got a 7 1/2 and honestly could of gone down another half size. So, just something to keep in mind when ordering!

I hope you enjoyed and found this"Mode Monday" to very helpful when trying to figure out how to organize your new semester! Good luck to y'all, and remember all things are possible with God! You got this, beautiful!
